Back to Business

Well, here goes. I've got my new Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH. I am so pleased that it is amazing and relatively easy to use, all things being equal. I can only thank DH for being the genious that he is about my level of technology.

It's been a busy two weeks around our house with the wrap up of full time work at the legislature, a visit from our youngest son and family, getting the boat washed, waxed and bottom painted for DH to return to our summer slip and of course, the garden chores....

Most fun for me is getting back to my sewing projects. Here's the latest along with a pic of my kitchen work space. My table has evolved into one of my favorite places to work. I could stay there all day.

Please share with me your favorite place to work.

More later.

Slide Into Home

This is my least favorite time of year. However, on a positive note, it's the beginning of my favorite TOY.
Work is tedious and getting awful, but will end in two weeks with the end of session. Garden, boat and baseball are starting with a flurry.
Still waiting on my new point and shoot...should be here by end of week. Then I will regale you with my life in photos!
Fionn was a lazy boy this am. Wouldn't get out of bed and was still there when I left for work.

Worm Moon

My BFF Maureen at Cooking My Life brought up the "Worm Moon" having to do with spring. This caused a memory burst for me about tending a big box of worms we kept under the porch for trout fishing at our nearby stream in PA. We'd put in kitchen scraps etc. and grow the most amazing Night Crawlers that the fish loved. They eventually got moved to the veggie patch. The soil was beautiful and amazingly fragrant.
The worms came from the garden mostly. We didn't buy things like that when you lived in a rural area.
This inspired me to find a big worm and show it to Fionn. He was very taken with the big squiggly thing as you might imagine so I rescued it before it became food.
